Bacteria
Unicellular micro-organims characterized by a plasmic membrane, lined with a rigid wall of a lipidic, protenic and polysacchardic nature. Its nucleus, devoid of a membrane, has only one chromosome, comprised of one DNA molecule folded over on itself. Bacteria reproduce by splitting. There are several types of bacteria but the two principal ones are microbes (rounded in shape) and bacilli (shaped like small rods).

Basal cell carcinomas
The most common form of skin cancers that usually appear as pea-sized, flesh coloured, pearly lesions that may have small blood vessels running through them.

Blackhead
A non-inflammatory acne lesion that is filled with excess oil and dead skin cells. Blackheads are also called "open comedomes" because the surface of the skin remains open.

Blister
A fluid-filled area of skin. Blisters and vesicles (small blisters) may be seen in contact eczema, hand eczema, and fungal infections.

Boils
Tender, swollen areas of infection that usually form around hair follicles.
