2009-10-14MArion witz of elizabeth grant international named one of canada's top woman entreprenuers by profit magazine

Toronto, Oct. 14— Marion Witz, President of Elizabeth Grant International Inc., has earned the 62nd place on the 11th annual Profit W100 ranking, making her one of the top Canadian female entrepreneurs. This is the 4th consecutive year that Marion has been recognized as a female entrepreneur with outstanding achievements.

Dedication, drive, determination and delivering a world-class product have ensured Marion’s standing among the most successful women in Canada once again.  Marion Witz founded Elizabeth Grant International in 1997.  The company has experienced steady growth since its start and has grown to a corporation that employs over 100 full-time employees in a 50,000-square-foot state-of-the-art facility located in Toronto.   Elizabeth Grant skin care products are now available on shopping channels in seven countries around the world and the company is currently continuing its global expansion into the Chinese market.

The rankings were announced today on PROFIT Magazine’s website and are based on FY08/09.  Ranking Canada’s Top Women Entrepreneurs on a composite score based on the size, growth rate and profitability of their businesses, the PROFIT W100 profiles the country’s most successful female business owners. New for 2009 is the Up and Comers list, a ranking of 10 successful up-and-coming women entrepreneurs whose companies are still in the emerging phase. Published in the November issue of PROFIT and online at www.PROFITmagazine.ca, the PROFIT W100 is Canada’s largest annual celebration of entrepreneurial achievement by women.

“The 2009 PROFIT W100 shatter the stereotypes about female business owners,” says Ian Portsmouth, Editor of PROFIT. “Canada’s Top Women Entrepreneurs lead fast-growing companies in a broad array of business sectors. They’re also innovative management thinkers and inspiring team leaders whose firms are particularly well positioned for the economic recovery.”

Marion Witz is a role model business woman.  She has led her company to experience tremendous growth, becoming a multi-million-dollar enterprise. At the same time, she dedicates a great deal of effort and resources to charitable organizations. Most recently, Elizabeth Grant International was recognized with the impressive Platinum Award for supporting Look Good Feel Better, an organization that helps women cope and live with cancer.  Marion is the best example of how passion, dedication, and generosity and are a powerful formula for success.
